Dr. Callahan's experience is extensive due to training and experience in multiple settings including hospitals, group homes (where he was the clinical director), day treatment for long term disabled, school setting and a homeless shelter. He takes a cognitive behavioral approach to treatment.  The idea being that if you change your thoughts you will change your mood and your actions.  Change involves work in therapy and of course out of the office.  Treatment should be short term with long term benefits.  You now have the choice to make a change in your life and to improve yourself.

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
