Dr. Steinberg is a board-certified psychiatrist with a holistic approach to evaluating and treating her clients. She takes the time to get to know you, understand the context of your life, explore your history, and carefully formulate a treatment plan with you. She has done specialized training in integrative and mindfulness-based therapies and offers a variety of treatment approaches including medication, psychotherapy, and complementary approaches to psychiatric treatment.

Dr. Steinberg's training includes a residency in general psychiatry, fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, and a full internal medicine residency so she is especially attuned to the connection between mind and body.

She earned her medical degree from Ohio State University in 1991. Dr. Steinberg completed an internship in psychiatry at NYU Medical Center and then completed her internal medicine residency in Miami at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center. After practicing as an internist, she returned to complete her psychiatric training at The Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas. She has worked in a variety of settings including community health settings, VA hospitals, and private practice. She is bilingual since childhood (English and Spanish). Her professional interests include the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, and mood and anxiety disorders.
